Hello everyone!
Well, we made it through week one. Week one is a tough week, not gonna lie. Many are not quite used to running as much or hard as we do during the XC season, so the first couple of weeks everyone is kinda sore. That’ll get better, I promise 🙂. We’ve got a big week coming up as well with school starting, parent night, team pictures, and our first race!
Fall Sports Parent Night
The Fall Sports Parent Night is on Monday 8/19/2024. Mr. Engbers will begin the night in the gym at 7PM and you can meet the coaches at 7:30PM in Room 200 (Mr. Bosma’s room).

Race Day – Under The Lights
Under The Lights has become a very popular early season meet. There are lots of schools, athletes, and spectators which makes for a very exciting, if not a little chaotic, night! You can check out the team roster to know who you’re cheering for!
Because the race director is trying to get as many teams to participate as possible, the boys actually will race 2nd. The rest of the races this season the boys will be racing first.
Please also note that there is no division for JV or Varsity at this event.
Spectator Parking: There is a $5 entry fee per vehicle for both on-site parking and parking at Cornerstone Church. There will be limited spectator parking at South Christian on campus. Additional parking is available at Cornerstone Church. Please do not park in the neighborhoods surrounding South Christian, as a courtesy to the neighbors. Please only park in designated parking lots. All vehicles leaving South Christian must leave through the South exit on to Kalamazoo Ave and turn right only (NO left turns).
