Race Day – Ottawa Hills
Bus will leave Unity at 2:50 PM. We would like everyone to ride the bus as much as possible. We know and understand the logistics can be tough sometimes, but there’s an amazing amount of “Cross Country” that happens on the bus rides, so please make it a priority.
Spectator parking available on the north and south end of the park. (two parking areas available). There is also parking in the neighborhoods across from the park. The middle parking area will be for event staff, coaches and teams without buses. We would like to keep traffic in and out of the middle entrance to a minimum as the course crosses the road there twice.
There will be a bus returning to school, but you may ride home with whoever.

Course Location:
The Mel Hall course is located at Spring Lake High School (16140 148th Avenue, Spring Lake, Michigan
49456). The course is behind the high school near the soccer, lacrosse, and track complex.
Spectator Parking:
Spectators may park in the Spring Lake Fitness and Aquatic Center parking lot adjacent to the high
school. There are paved sidewalks out to the track.

As many of you know, our teammates Sadie Schout and Makayla Meeuwsen have both transferred to Unity this year, but had run XC at other schools last year and are thus ineligible to compete. However, they are able to run in open competition. Autumn Hills Invitational has a meet that is open to parents, coaches, alumni, and more. Sadie, Makayla, Coach Rotman, Coach Kelly, and Coach Brenna will be competing in this event. We’re also inviting any parent or family member that would like to participate to join us!
The Bus will leave at 7:00 AM. It is not required that you ride the bus. We would really like you to come to cheer for Makayla and Sadie, however. They’ve been stalwart supporters of UCXC from the sidelines, and this is a great opportunity to support them in return.

Portage is a very busy meet with over 200 schools. They expect 15k – 20k in attendance throughout the day. There is very limited parking at the middle school, but there is ample parking on the surrounding streets. Expect a 5 – 10 min walk.

Conference finals will be at Allendale. Allendale’s course is flat and fast, and the weather looks great! Regionals will also be held here on October 28, so this will be a nice preview to that race as well.
The event is separated into Varsity and JV. The Varsity races will be further separated by Girls/Boys, but the JV race will be combined. The athletes racing in the Varsity races are below:
