We’re recognizing Eli Ernst and Sierra Grooters as this week’s Gallant Award recipients. This first week the coaches select the athletes they feel are deserving of the award. There were many well-deserved athletes, so choosing only one was very difficult!
Coach Rotman selected Eli Ernst based on his leadership he demonstrated from the very beginning of practice. He had ideas about how to organize the team, and brought all the boys along. Congratulation Eli, and thank you for making UCXC better tomorrow than yesterday
Coach Bosma selected Sierra Grooters based on how she demonstrated ‘doing the things’ right from the start. Sierra has been dedicated to the sport from early on and has been a shining example what to do as a XC athlete from the very beginning. I expect we’ll see great things from Sierra this year!
